Had the best time at Cashel last week - my first time here.
I understand the new managers Karen and Steve have only been in post since August. Couldn't be more helpful, accommodating and welcoming, shout out to staff member Hamish as well! They are dog lovers (my kind of people), enough said 😊.
Can't wait to return in March when they open back up for the season.
Do not come to this campsite if you want a fire, hate midges and the rain. This is north Scotland 🤣
Just had two night stay camping and had a great weekend manager's Karen and Steven couldn't do enough for us .toilets were spotless and cleaned constantly. Pitches were great plenty of space had my two grand kids with us and they can't wait to go back .been here many years ago and the difference now is amazing .definitely be back soon .
Visited for 10 days in September. Lovely site, again got a pitch on the side of the loch with unrivalled views. Although I did say to my husband there really isnt a bad pitch to be had on teh site! We had our 2 dogs with us and they …
We were here in 2019 and returned sgain this year. Lovely location for campsite. Facilities are excellent. Big campsite so handy for short walk with dogs. We'll definitely return again and stay a bit longer. 🇮🇪 ❤ …
Beautiful place looking onto Loch great for water sports and pet friendly very busy so not much privacy from other visitors quite expensive for a night with hook up.
Toilet facilities immaculate
Adequate shop
Wash station for dishes clean and plenty hot water. Very quiet site at night which was good.
Had a fab stay at Cashel campsite with our caravan. Karen and the guys were so friendly and helpful. Facilities excellent. Pitch 62 was amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Just back from 2 nights here. Although the site is located in a great spot, the staff are rude.
Upon arrival we were greeted with a grumpy worker who was abrupt & unimpressed at the fact we had brought our reactive dog along with us for the stay. (As we had already mentioned on the booking form).
Although the site manager accommodated us with a non pitch spot (which was a great help), we were made to feel silly for bringing our dog on holiday with us and that we had caused them an inconvenience. It was mentioned on the booking form and so we would have expected someone to have been in touch prior to our arrival, if our dog wasn't welcome. We are responsible dog owners and our dogs have come away with us multiple times with no issues from staff on other sites. We were given a whole host of rules (which we follow anyway ie muzzled & on lead), but the attitude behind it all really made us feel undermined and uncomfortable for the duration of our stay.
There was also very loud grass cutting going on all afternoon / early evening right next to all the pitches. So loud that we could barely hear each other speak inside the tent as the industrial mower went back and forth next to us for 2hours. Grass has to be cut, but on a busy Friday night around tents when the weather isn’t good and everyone is likely to be indoors doesn’t seem the best of times.
The location itself it’s fantastic - great views, good phone signal, not too many midges and direct access onto the loch. The facilities were all to a good standard too. On the basis of the bad customer service & rudeness from the staff though, we won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend.
Beautifully kept campsite in a stunning location, a well stocked shop and very helpful staff. We needed to leave early before gates were officially opened to catch a ferry and the lovely lady there got up especially early to open the gate for us 😁 so kind ❤️
